Incident Recording Disclosure
This disclosure explains how the ARMA Platform records, stores, and handles incident footage and audio across all ARMA system deployments.
01.Nature of ARMA Recording Systems
ARMA Platform systems — including ARMA Domus, ARMA Alert, ARMA Sentinel, and ARMA Law Shield — are designed to capture, store, and manage incident recordings for safety documentation, evidence preservation, and legal protection purposes.
Recording capabilities vary by ARMA system. ARMA Alert captures vehicle-based audio and video during incidents. ARMA Domus captures residential environment recordings. ARMA Sentinel captures facility-based recordings for institutional safety management.
All recordings are processed with cryptographic integrity verification at the point of capture to establish tamper-proof chain of custody.
02.Recording Consent Requirements
USERS ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR ENSURING THEIR USE OF ARMA RECORDING FEATURES COMPLIES WITH ALL APPLICABLE FEDERAL, STATE, AND LOCAL LAWS GOVERNING AUDIO AND VIDEO RECORDING.
Recording consent laws vary significantly by jurisdiction. Some states require the consent of only one party to a conversation (one-party consent), while others require all parties to consent (all-party or two-party consent). Federal law generally requires at least one-party consent under the Electronic Communications Privacy Act.
FSTS does not provide legal advice regarding recording consent requirements in your jurisdiction. Before activating audio recording features, consult with a licensed attorney familiar with the laws of your state and locality.
03.Institutional Recording Compliance
Organizations deploying ARMA Sentinel for facility monitoring must comply with all applicable privacy regulations, including but not limited to: FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) for K-12 and higher education institutions; HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) for healthcare facilities; applicable state surveillance and workplace monitoring laws.
Institutional deployments must post required notices in monitored areas in compliance with local law. FSTS recommends consulting with legal counsel before deploying recording systems in any regulated environment.
Security companies deploying ARMA systems under white-label or partner arrangements are responsible for ensuring their client deployments comply with all applicable laws.
04.ARMA Alert — Vehicle Recording
ARMA Alert is designed to automatically capture recordings during specific trigger events including crash detection, police stop initiation, and other configurable safety events.
Vehicle cabin recording may capture conversations of passengers without their explicit knowledge. Users must comply with applicable consent laws in their jurisdiction before using cabin audio recording features.
ARMA Alert recordings are automatically uploaded to secure ARMA evidence storage with cryptographic verification. Users retain ownership of their recordings subject to these Terms.
05.Storage and Access
Incident recordings are stored in encrypted, access-controlled ARMA evidence infrastructure. Access is limited to the account holder, explicitly authorized users, and legal counsel authorized through ARMA Law Shield.
FSTS personnel do not access incident recordings except as required to provide technical support, in response to valid legal process, or as otherwise described in the Privacy Policy.
Law enforcement access to recordings requires valid legal process (warrant, subpoena, or court order) unless the account holder voluntarily consents to disclosure.
06.Automated Recording Features
Some ARMA features record automatically upon detecting trigger conditions (e.g., crash detection, motion sensors, alarm activation). Users are responsible for understanding which automated recording features are active on their account and ensuring these features are configured in compliance with applicable law.
Automated recording features can be configured, restricted, or disabled through account settings. Contact support@fstacktsolutions.com for assistance with recording configuration.
